Ta-pieh Mountains, which is the watershed between the Yangtze River and the Huai River in China, is located on this mysterious latitude, guarding the Chinese civilization for thousands of years; and the central city in China, Huanggang, also locates here.

Every morning, when the first ray of sunlight shines into the Global Geopark in Ta-pieh Mountains, the nature begins to wake up.
96%的森林覆蓋率，和豐富的植被種類，讓其成為中部少有的綠色基因庫。
With 96% forest coverage and abundant vegetation types, Huanggang is one of the few green gene pools in the central region, China.
北面高峰林立，南部平原湖泊交織，而位于羅田與英山交界的大別山主峰—天堂寨，海拔高達1729米。
High peaks rise in the north, and lakes weave across the plains in the south. Tiantangzhai, the main peak of the Ta-pieh Mountains, which lies at the junction of Luotian and Yingshan County, is 1729 meters above sea level.

在英國漢學(xué)家艾約瑟的筆下，中國的四大發(fā)明以東方智慧，推動了世界文明的發(fā)展。
In the writings of Joseph Edkins (1823-1905), a famous British linguist and sinologist, China's four great inventions promoted the development of world civilization with Oriental wisdom.
四大發(fā)明之一，活字印刷的發(fā)明者——北宋匠人畢升，來自黃岡。一個個活字印出的，是文字，更是文明。
One of the four great inventions, the movable type printing, was invented by Bi Sheng, a craftsman of the Northern Song Dynasty, who lived Huanggang. What is printed is not only words but also cultural heritage.
幾千年的歲月流光中，黃岡這片熱土上的人們崇文重教，千百年后，學(xué)生們朗朗誦讀著先人們的話語，東方文明古國的智慧，在書卷紙墨間傳承。
For thousands of years, people in Huanggang have been advocating for culture and education. Thousands of years later, children recite the words of their ancestors, and passed on the wisdom of the ancient Oriental civilization from generation to generation.
在黃岡，最為人稱道的歷史人物，莫過于宋代（公元960年—公元1279年）文學(xué)家蘇東坡。昔日謫居于黃州的蘇東坡，縱情山水，體驗人生起落，揮毫寫出了最美詩詞。他在黃岡所留下的753篇詩詞文賦，不僅創(chuàng)造了自己詩詞文學(xué)的巔峰，更表達了對這片土地的大愛。
The best-known historical figure in Huanggang is Su Dongpo, a great poet and writer in the Song Dynasty (960-1279). Su Dongpo, who used to live in Huanggang, indulged in the landscape, experienced the ups and downs of life and wrote the most beautiful poems. The 753 poems he left not only created the pinnacle of his own poetry literature, but also expressed his great love for this land.

一千多年后，這些詩詞化作「遺愛十二景」，坐落在碧波蕩漾的遺愛湖畔。這座城市中心占地5平方公里的東坡文化主公園，讓來自全球的游客，在東坡名句中追憶歷史，感受愛的傳承與延續(xù)。
And now, these poems became the inspirations of the"Twelve Scenes of Bequeathed Love," locating on the banks of the rippling Beloved Lake. The Dongpo Culture Park, which covers an area of 5 square kilometers in the center of the city, allows visitors from all over the world to remember the history and feel the inheritance and continuation of love in Dongpo's famous lines from a thousand years ago.

More than 400 years ago, Li Shizhen, the great Chinese medical scholar, tasted all kinds of herbs here and wrote Compendium of Materia Medica, a masterpiece of Oriental Medicine, inheriting the long history of traditional Chinese medicine.
