The gross domestic product (GDP) of Wuhan, capital city of Hubei Province,exceeded 1.88 trillionyuan in2022, up 4percent from the previous year, according to official data published on March 30, 2023.

In 2022, the added value of Wuhan’s primary, secondary and tertiary industries increasedby 3.2percent, 7.3percent and2.3 percent, respectively.

It wasworth noting that there were3,249high-tech new?enterprises in Wuhan throughout the year. The added value of all 12,400high-tech industries reached532.19 billion yuan, accounting for 28.2 percent of the city’s GDP, an increase of 0.8 percentage points over the previous year.

The data stated that Wuhan’s economic growth for the whole year was backed by the continuous growth of permanent population and market entities.
