The train No. X8015, carrying 40 tonnes of containers, departed from Wujiashan station in Wuhan to Russia on Jan. 3, marking the first trip of China-Europe freight trainsmade from Wuhan in 2024.
Wuhanhandled 848 China-Europe freight train trips in 2023,with a year-on-year increase of 57.6 percent.Out of the total,?outbound and?inbound trips?reached281and 567, respectively, setting a new record.
In 2023, the value of goods transported by the China-Europe (Wuhan) freight trainsamounted to16.8 billion yuan, ascending by19.83percent year on year.
